The PLDT High Speed Hitters aim to salvage a podium finish and close their campaign on a winning note as they battle the Akari Chargers in the bronze-medal match of the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference on Sunday, November 30, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The High Speed Hitters enter the battle for bronze still reeling from a tough straight-set loss to the red-hot ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 22-25, 26-28, 22-25, in the semifinals.

The defeat ended their bid for a rare triple-crown sweep after claiming the On Tour and Invitational titles earlier in the year.

While import Anastasiia Bavykina and Savi Davison delivered 31 combined points, PLDT struggled to generate the balanced support needed to stay afloat in the clutch moments.

Now, the High Speed Hitters look to regroup behind Mika Reyes, who is expected to play a bigger role in stabilizing both the net defense and the team’s secondary scoring options.

With veterans Kim Fajardo, Kianna Dy, and Majoy Baron also expected to step up, PLDT hopes to impose its height, tempo, and blocking advantage against an Akari side still riding the momentum of its giant-slaying run.

With both teams eager to end their seasons on a high, the bronze match promises intensity, urgency, and pride on the line.
