🔻 Rain or Shine vs Meralco PBA 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

TNT and Rain or Shine hope to open a new chapter to their rivalry but first need to dis­patch their respect­ive quarterfi­nals foes in the PBA Sea­son 50 Phil­ip­pine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coli­seum on Sat­urday, Dec. 27. RAIN or Shine and TNT are in line for another semifinal clash, this time in the PBA 50th Season Philippine Cup, and that could be arranged as early as Saturday when they face separate foes to begin their playoff campaign.

Rain or Shine is looking to book its fifth straight semifinal appearance. The Elasto Painters put themselves in position for another semifinal appearance after finishing at No. 2 in the team standings with an 8-3 win-loss record. One of their victories was a 96-95 victory over Meralco last October 11.

Meralco is seeking to extend its conference with a victory on Saturday. The Bolts have not advanced to the semifinals over the last three conferences, or since they won the 2024 Philippine Cup crown. Meralco claimed the seventh seed in the playoffs on a 6-5 win-loss record. 

Both boast­ing twice-to-beat armors, the Elasto Paint­ers and the Tro­pang 5G are only need­ing one win to book a fourth straight semis meet­ing.

But stand­ing in their way are Mer­alco and Magno­lia, which are look­ing to stay alive in the all-filipino con­fer­ence with a vic­tory.

Rais­ing the cur­tain to the excit­ing twin bill is the match between the Elasto Paint­ers and the Bolts at 5:15 p.m. and will be imme­di­ately fol­lowed by the clash between the Tro­pang 5G and the Hot­shots in the second game at 7:30 p.m.

Rain or Shine, which fin­ished third in the stand­ings with an 8-3 record, will also get a huge boost espe­cially on the front­court with Luis Vil­le­gas mak­ing his long-awaited comeback after a series of injur­ies.
